This 8 hour class is approved by NCBTMB as continuing education. In this class students will learn techniques to bring the body down from a heightened state so as to reach a more relaxed homeostatic state of well being.
Course Description
Students will learn techniques to bring the body down from a heightened state so as to reach a more relaxed homeostatic state of well being.
Learning Objectives
1.) Students will list pathologies related to stress and anxiety.
2.) Students will be able to explain what happens in the body during a heightened stressful state.
3.) Students will be able to administer breathing techniques with their clients.
4.) Students will be able to use guided meditation scripts with their clients to help them relax.
5.) Students will be able to use weighted blankets and sand bags to in their massage.
6.) Students will be able to identify triggers for PTSD and anxiety.
7.) Students will be able to make preparations to reduce the chance of a client having a flashblack during body work.
8.) Students will identify trauma.

1.) Students will demonstrate proficiency in Thunderstorm Therapy.

What do I need to bring?
Students will need a massage table, sheets, blanket, lotion, holster, pen and paper.
